Two of our newest recruits have completed their HOBART Service onboarding. Technical Operations Manager, Mark Whitmarsh ran the 7-week-long induction and training course which included classroom, practical and mentored field-based learning.
Mark commented on the onboarding process:
“We ensure that the onboarding programmes we deliver are tailored to the individual’s requirement, taking into account the different learning styles and the experience levels. It’s critical that the onboarding programmes we build give the Technicians stability and confidence working on our equipment, the initial few weeks tell the story of how we plan to look after our employees and work to delivering competent commercial catering technicians.”
Our new Service Technicians, Brian and Dhamith have gained in-depth knowledge of how to service, troubleshoot and maintain our warewash and cooking equipment. While our Technician's training is always ongoing, these Techs now have the knowledge they need to begin working in the field.
“At the end of the induction our Technicians are assessed on a one-to-one basis to ensure they are complying with all the safety standards and are confident both the theory and practical elements of the role. We have had a great few weeks with Brian and Dhamith, they have been a pleasure to work with and we are looking forward to seeing their ongoing progress and development.”
