Ecological awareness is an integral part of our vision. Which is why we also fulfil the obligations of the European WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) and therefore kindly inform you of the following: old electrical equipment must not be disposed of as household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to take such waste to a suitable collection point. Please note that commercially used electrical and electronic equipment (B2B) may not be disposed of via municipal collection points. We are happy to advise you on suitable disposal options. The dustbin symbol means: old electrical equipment is not allowed to be disposed of as household waste. Old equipment can contain contaminants that carry an environmental and health risk. Old equipment is recycled as it contains important raw materials. Our WEEE reg. no. is: DE 18913537

Section 33 of the European Union REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 places every supplier under the obligation to notify consumers if so requested whether substances of very high concern (SVHC) are known to be present in the product. We take this obligation very seriously. The candidate list (ECHA database) of substances of very high concern is sporadically adapted to the current state of the art. We swiftly respond to these changes to the candidate list. According to information available to us, some HOBART products have components containing lead (CAS 7439-92-1) as an alloying element, e.g. in bronze, in concentrations larger than 0.1 mass %. The use of this substance complies with the valid legal stipulations. If used as intended, this equipment poses no environmental or health threat. Safety instructions are not necessary.
